"It Takes a Village to Raise a Child" (click here)

As we embark on this journey of becoming a true community school, we must realize that everyone plays a very important part in educating OUR students.

As the students rise each day to begin their daily school routine, it is the parents who ensure that the students are well-dressed, fed, and prepared for the school day.

As the students load the bus, the bus driver embraces these students and safely brings each one to our school.

While the kids journey to school, the custodians are making a final walk through to ensure that the school is clean and germ free.

As the students depart the bus to enter the school, the faculty and staff await each one to greet them with a welcoming, "Good morning!"

As the students scurry to their classroom, they are blown away by the pleasant smells which are escaping the cafeteria.

The students have no other choice but to continue to their classroom and quietly await the lesson which their teacher has planned. Their teacher fills the day with lots of learning, laughter, and "Ah-ha" moments.

The day seems to go by extremely fast and now it is time to go home. The students load the bus and are returned back to their original departure point where their parents are waiting with excitement.

The parents greet each student with a hug and shows interests in the happenings of the day. They walk to the kitchen table together and the students begin working on the day's homework while the parents begin to prepare for dinner. Mom and dad adequately observe their child's progress and checks the tasks once they are completed.

The students now have time to play, eat dinner, and prepare for bed.

Everyone that OUR students come in contact with during every hour of the day is depositing some type of attribute. We must ensure that our deposits are positive and beneficial. Again, "It Takes a Village to Raise a Child."
