2025-2026 School Wide Title I Initiatives

Nevitt Forest Elementary School 


Title I is a federal program which provides resources to identified schools.  The identification process includes an analysis of the poverty level within each school.  Nevitt Forest Elementary school has been identified as one of eight schools in Anderson District 5 which will receive Title I resources.  On an annual basis, the school and district staff analyze data to determine areas of need. The school and district seek input from parents and the community to determine the most effective manner in which to utilize Title I funds.  For the 2025-2026 school year, the following initiatives have been identified:


    • Employ a full-time instructional facilitator position to support high-quality instruction through on-going coaching, modeling, and providing professional development to school staff.  This person will also work with students and families to maintain student attendance, positive behavior, academic intervention plans, and more to ensure students receive needed support to be successful in the classroom. 
    • Employ a third grade teacher to reduce class sizes beyond district class-size standardized ratios. 
    • Employ a full-time certified interventionist to provide ongoing reading and math instruction to help increase student academic achievement. 
  • Employ a full-time non-certified interventionist to provide ongoing reading and math instruction to help increase student academic achievement. 
  • Employ a full-time STEAM teacher to provide supplemental, hands-on STEAM instruction to help increase student academic achievement. 
  • Provide stipends for instructional professional development outside of the paid work day. 
  • Provide substitutes to support classroom instruction while providing teachers with the opportunity to attend professional development and increase instructional effectiveness. 
  • Provide instructional supplies and materials to support ELA, math, related arts, science, and social studies program initiatives that include materials for STEAM, read-aloud / mentor texts, LLI Instruction, classroom consumables, and other evidence-based strategies.  
  • A student incentive program will be implemented to encourage achievement of academic and behavioral goals. Purchases may include academic medals and lanyards, certificates, books, brag tags, stickers, as well as related arts academic based incentives such pens, paints, educational art kits, colored pencils, markers, notebooks/journals, and books.
  • Provide technology materials and supplies to support and implement technology integrated instruction for student achievement of college and career ready standards. 
  • Provide instructional and communication copying services to ensure students have all materials they need to complete hands-on and engaging activities, as well as, providing letters and other materials to parents to keep them informed of school happenings and events. 
  • Provide instructional supplies and materials to support parent, family, and community events.  These activities will provide stakeholders the opportunity to engage in events at the school that support STEAM, Mathematics, English Language Arts, and more.
  • Provide supplies and materials to support school professional development with certified and noncertified staff to ensure high-quality instruction.
  • Designated teachers and administrators will attend effective strategy conferences and workshops designed to improve student achievement and performance on local and state assessments. Workshop participants will share workshop materials and conduct information/training sessions with colleagues upon return through grade level planning, school-based professional development days, and when applicable, cross-school workshops. Workshops may include: SC Reading Conference , national ESEA conference, Making Schools Work Conference, SCLME SC Math Conference, Instructional Coaching conference, Writing to Learn PD, Model Schools conference, and other relevant workshops and conferences as needs determined through on-going data analysis. Expenditures may include travel, lodging, meals, and workbooks and registration.
